May you have many safe flying hours in the future. Well done Werner! Flight instructor Marco Barnard and PPL student Cobus Meyer flew to Witbank on Thursday 13 June in Cobus's Piper 235. Piper 235 Private Pilot Licence Early this morning two of our PPL students went on their initial solo flights! Students GJ Swart and Vosjan Grey worked hard towards this day and it finally paid off.
Despite the tremendous pressure from all the on-lookers, both had absolutely perfect touchdowns. We are very proud of you guys, keep up the good work and may you have lots of safe flying hours to come! C172 Private Pilot licence We did some night flying with Korsten van Schalkwyk yesterday afternoon to add some night landings to his Night Rating, and got some breathtaking photos of the night sky.
A night rating is an extra rating you could add to your licence. With this you are able to fly during the night, but still in visible meteorological conditions when you are the holder of a PPL. C172 Night Rating Yesterday PPL students Gj Swart and Vosjan Grey had some circuit training with a sunset view!
Circuit training consists of continuous take-offs and landings to get the students ready for their solo flights. Gj and Vosjan are getting very close to their initial solo flights and we're looking forward to that!
