THIS COURSE IS FOR:
This course is solely for the pilot who is interested in recreational flying only. Anyone who would like a pilot licence only to fly privately and for fun! This licence will allow the aspiring pilot to take up a new hobby, flying one of the industry’s leading Light Sport Aircraft. They operate utilizing standard motor vehicle petrol or aviation gasoline at a much lower hourly rate, making the operating cost of the aircraft substantially less than a conventional airplane.
ABOUT THIS COURSE: 
  • The National Pilots licence opens up a new world to the recreational pilot.
  • The training course is very similar in nature to the Private Pilot’s Licence and pilots who qualify will enjoy similar privileges except that this license is not recognized in foreign countries.
  •  8 theoretical knowledge examinations are required to be written and passed for which we provide all the necessary course material and examinations can be written at our CAA approved Examination centre.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Student needs to be 17 years or older to qualify for NPL, but can start training at the age of 16. There is no upper age limit, providing that you are medically fit.
  • Hold a valid Class 1 or Class 2 medical certificate. Our office will aid in facilitating this.
  • Completed a minimum of 35 flying hours, of which 20 hours will be Dual flight training and 15 hours Solo Flight Training.
  • Passed the Theoretical Knowledge Examinations.
  • English Proficiency Test
  • Passed the NPL skill test on completion of the above.

PRICES CONNECTED TO THIS COURSE
An amount of R700 will be charged per hour flown, all other expenses are completely responsible for by the student in training
